TFL Mission

  • Increase access to and acquisition of assistive technology devices and services so Georgians of all ages and disabilities can live, learn, work and play independently in communities of their choice.

Team Meeting Expectations

1. All TFL team meetings are no/light device meetings. This means using your device professionally, minimally, as an accommodation, or for emergencies.

2. Be mindful of the time you are given for your updates.

  • Research Team is applying for a GTRI seed grant: Mastery of AT and the IEP in K-12
    • 1 Year, $100K
    • Build a web-based tool for use by IEP teams
    • Help us validate our Mastery of AT Tool
    • Plan research questions and methodology for a larger Education grant in future
  • Research Team has also submitted:

RRTC Grant proposal: AT Impact

  • One of several projects - 5 years, $500K
  • Follow up on the DBHDD clients we saw in 2017-2019 pilot
    • Look at the long term impact of our intervention
    • Enhance/perfect the original DBHDD intervention
    • Work with another 60 referrals over the curse of the project
  • Partner with DBHDD - train a cadre of counsellors to identify appropriate AT
  • Revise the Foundational Measures Survey & Adapted Student Performance Profile
  • Work with DBHDD to develop a cost/benefit measure for the intervention


Inclusive Tech Entrepreneurship Fellowship (ITEP)

Open Enrollment begins October 21st!

  • Open Enrollment for 2021 Benefits selection begins tomorrow October 21st and ends November 6th. This is an active enrollment - meaning you must log into the system and confirm your benefits even if no changes are being made. Additionally, you will need to certify you and your dependent(s) (age 18 and older) tobacco use status. Tobacco users will be charged $100 per month, per person for using tobacco products and system automatically defaults to tobacco user.
