Description

When faced with a workplace accommodation problem, would you like to be able to learn how others have solved it? Are you frustrated when you see a “solution” that an employer or employee made on their own that is not working well because it was chosen without adequate information?

We are developing Work ACCESS, a new online tool and mobile app, to help people, particularly employers and employees with disabilities, make informed accommodation decisions. We would like your input on what assessment questions need to be asked, what solutions should be prioritized for different scenarios, and how to make all of this easy to use.

We will be holding two group interviews at the CSUN Conference during the afternoon of Thursday, March 12. We will brainstorm accommodation problems and solutions related to computer access. The sessions will be held in Lido Room A at the Hilton Anaheim hotel across the street from the CSUN Conference hotel.

Session Choices

  • 1:30-3:30 p.m. -- Computer Access: Motor (reaching, grasping, etc.) Difficulties
  • 3:30-5:00 p.m. -- Computer Access: Visual or Cognitive Difficulties

Participants will receive $40 as compensation for their participation in a 90-minute session.

To participate, you must:

  • Have experience using and/or recommending computer access solutions
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Work in and be participating from the United States
  • Be fluent in spoken or written English
